Working with a Difference – Part-time Work at Holiday Villa Subang
Once again the Young Achievers made full use of their school holidays by working as part-time food service staff at Palm Terrace Coffeehouse, Holiday Villa Subang. From 9th to 20th November 2003. Working tirelessly from 3pm to 11pm daily, they gained valuable working experience and made many new friends. With the money they earned, they donated RM100 each to MCPCSA. Achievers TAKE CHARGE against
Child Sexual Abuse in CSAAW 2003
As a partner in the Malaysian Coalition for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse,
the Young Achievers was again involved in organizing & participating in the
annual Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Week 2003 (CSAAW). Launched at Sri Cempaka
Cheras on 11th & 12th July 2003, with the theme
“Teens Take Charge” and aimed to encourage youths to be responsible of what
happens to them, to be in control and react effectively.

Merdeka Day celebration
& Clubhouse launch.
The
Young Achievers celebrated Malaysia's 46th Merdeka Day at their newly gotten clubhouse.
They chose this historic date to also launch their new name, new logo and the
clubhouse during a function officiated by two distinguished ladies Ybhg Datin
Seri Wendy Ong (wife of MCA President, Dato' Sri Ong Ka Ting) and Ybhg Datin Freida
Dato' Pilus (Chairman of Cempaka Schools). (more)
On
the 24th of July 2003, BAKTI organized their yearly special event for
400 less fortunate children from all over Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Television
Airtime Services and Golden Kids Club were among the sponsors with GKC, being
the only children-organizing partner, providing all the entertainment. Hari Kanak-Kanak
Malaysia celebrates the joy of sharing and giving to ensure that all children
enjoy the warmth of a loving family, the joy of having fun and being entertained
and the opportunity to bond with other children from diverse backgrounds. (more)
Graduation
ceremony in Paya Indah
24th
January 2003 was an eventful night to remember for the Young Achievers as they
graduated from the stimulating workshop themed " If it's to be, It' s up to ME,
I am GKC conducted by the inspiring duo, Aunty Janet and Uncle Sunny, as they
are fondly known. (more)
