Formed in April 1996, Golden Kids News (GKN) is a five-minute children's news programme and the first of its kind to be aired in the world. It is the brain-child of Television Airtime Services Sdn. Bhd. (TAS), a company founded in 1994 that provides programme contents, advertising and broadcasting services to the media and broadcasting service industry in Malaysia.  

GKN has become a household name with millions of children in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. 

In 1999, TAS formed Golden Kids Club (GKC), a spin-off of GKN. Aired on RTM TV2, Golden Kids Club is a new millenial, cyber conscious, up-to-date children's television magazine that holds a style of its own, GKC recently won the Anugerah Sri Angkasa 2000 for best children's television show. It has become a benchmark for local children's television programmes in Malaysia.
