Our trip to Kuala Selangor
On
Saturday,March 30 2002, we headed off to Kuala Selangor for a family outing. We
reached our destination at about 12 in the afternoon and went around Bukit
Melawati to know more about legendary places and statues. After all that
walking,we went to the De-Palma Inn to check in. There were about 30 people who
came for the trip. We went to our respective rooms to unpack and went to the
cafe in the inn to have our lunch.
We
took about an hour of sleep and woke up for the telematch which was held in an
open space. All of us were divided into 5 groups of 4 to 5. We did the Limbo Rock
and loads of other activities.I the end, we all got lots of prizes and had lots
of fun.
At
7pm, we gathered at the same cafe to have our dinner. The food was really
delicious and
the
service was fantastic. After eating, we went to Pusat kelip-kelip Kampung
Kuantan to watch fireflies. They were like natural Christmas trees and they were
scattered all over the place. Some were flying above the surface of the
water, some were on the trees, and some were flying in the sky.
As
we were watching, the boatman told us almost everything we needed to know about
the fireflies. We went back to the inn by bus at about 10.30 at night. Most of us
were exhausted an went straight to sleep.
The
next morning, we woke up at 6.30am to wash up to go jungle tracking at Taman
Alam. Before heading off to Taman Alam,we had our breakfast and checked out.
When
we were there,a tour guide took us around the place. There were many types of
trees and animals there. He also gave some information about the flora's and
fauna's that can be found there. There was also a slide-show which was set for
us by "Pengawai Taman Alam"
I
think this trip had really mean a lot to me. The fact that I love going on trips
and exploring the outdoors.
