Nur
Hazwin Binti Hashim a pleasant girl who is never short of smiles was born on the
8th of January 1989. She joined the GKC family at age nine. She has
interviewed many leaders including YB Dato' Lee Hwa Beng the assemblyman for Subang
Jaya and met many great people including Yang Amat Berhormat Dato Seri Dr Mahathir
Mohamad and his wife. Nur Hazwin is very at ease doing charity works. She participated
in all GKC organized charity events and visits including visits to paediatric
wards, old folk' s homes, orphanages and centers for the unfortunate children.
She also joined in the celebration of BAKTI' s children' s day and deepavali together
with her fellow GKC presenters.
Her
skills in TV presenting and interviewing were sharpened through the many GKC seminars
and workshops she has attended such as Broadcasting in the New Millennium, Reporting
Techniques and also Image Enhancement and Development Program. She claims her
fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English is a result of her endless passion for reading.
With her vast experience in TV hosting, she has always been the "chosen one" by her previous school, Sek Keb Kampung Tunku to host major events including Teachers Day and Prefectorial Board' s Annual Dinner. She is currently a student of Sekolah Sri Cempaka Cheras. She has traveled around the country on educational and environmental awareness programs together with the Junior Environmental Group of Malaysia whom she is a member. She has also participated in eco-camping and re-cycling programs Warmly known as Awin to her GKC family, she is ever ready to offer her helping hands whenever she is needed. Although she is still an intermediate in GKC, her aspirations and ambitions is something to be proud of. The Bronze Award was presented to Hazwin, in The Young Achievers Awards 2000/2001, for her dedication and hard work towards making GKC a success. She participated in the 2002 Charity Gala Dinner and, as with all the other GKC’s, performed very well in the drama for the Drive’s Charity Gala Night. At the Graduation ceremony in Paya Indah held recently to commemorate the Young Achiever’s completion of Aunty Janet’s 8-month workshop, Hazwin received the “Love” award.
