Carissa is 15 years old and is the eldest daughter of Steven Yap, a Managing Director and Sanice Kam, a teacher. A student from Sek. Sri Cempaka Cheras, her favorite subjects are English and Science. Carissa scored straight A's in the recent PMR examination.

Personally, she is very friendly, soft-spoken, considerate and determine. Her ambition is to be a Scientist. Her most memorable experience with GKC was during GKC' s trip to Australia for the 3^rd International Children' s Conference on the Environment at Woodbury Boston Environmental School. Besides Australia, she has also traveled to America, Singapore and Brunei.
